Megaphones & Loudhailers
Megaphone's or LoudHailers are available in various sizes, power output rating and features. The main sizes are 6watt and 12-15watt & 25watt versions, and can have options of whistle and/or siren. The other main difference in models is the feature of a removable fist microphone which allows the user to leave the main unit suspended from a shoulder strap while holding just the microphone up to their mouth. The normal style requires the complete unit to be held in front of users mouth, which for extended operating times can be fatiguing. There is a evacuation model available which has two tones of evacuation and alert, as required by Australian Standards for factories and warehouses that do not have an installed evacuation PA system. A1982B Alert/Evac 25W 35W Max Megaphone
Fitted with an alert/evac tone generator. The required function (alert/evac/megaphone) is selected via a toggle switch and is activated by pressing the trigger.
To recharge batteries (NiMH batteries only) simply plug in the included AC plugpack. It requires 15 hours to fully charge. Rechargeable batteries sold separately.
Output power 25W continuous, 35W maximum. Requires 8 x C size batteries (not included). Suitable for school events, conventions, demonstrations etc.
